This used to be one of our regular dinning places but for some unknown reason went very down hill. We are pleased to say they seem to have turned it round, new manger maybe!!.
But this is the second time we have been back in the past month and on both occasions have been more than pleased with the service , food and general attitude of staff.
Keep it up.

The experience that we had was very poor the quality of the food was dreadful. Some of us had the turkey with some of the items missing as they had run out fine

I had the festive turkey two courses for about £15.50
I would not recommend the turkey as I was not allowed an alternative to the roast potatoes and the veg was just Brussels and green beans. So the roast was £10.50.
We had plenty of room for our group and were not cramed in.

Well where to start. My prawn cocktail was unbelievable! A huge slice of cucumber and slices of tomato including the top part, made up the base with some lettuce. No cutlery for this starter given for easy eating. Very poor Presentation of this classic starter. My husbands starter, pulled beef served on a wooden board, not suitable for this starter. The cheesy horseradish was over powering in horseradish only, no cheese taste at all. My husbands first choice of main dinner unavailable. We both had steaks and to be fair better cooked than we have had before but again the presentation very poor. Nice hot plates do not want loads of garnish on it as it goes very limp and unattractive. My mushroom was not at all nice to eat, not cooked at all well. I wanted some English mustard so I asked, I was given two sachets of mustard, how dreadful for a restaurant to present mustard in this way, unbelievable! We did not have anything further and unlikely to return to this restaurant.

Food was pretty good. Desert wasn't very warm amd cookies burnt. Waitress very good but the wait of an hour for food (especially with children was far too long)
