The afternoon tea was excellent with lovely fresh finger sandwiches and delicious cakes and scones. The free flowing bubbly was certainly flowing and the friendly waiters kept our glasses topped up. Just a little disappointed that we were sat over in the far corner of the library so we couldn't see the river or hear the pianist, having said that it was delightful to sit and enjoy the library room. I assumed the price on the Bookatable offer would include everything but please note there is a 12.5% service charge to add. We still felt it was good value though, especially considering the amount of fizz we drank.

The tea and champagne were really good quality, and the range of food was amazing - especially the savoury scone! On top of that the room is beautiful, and the service was really good quality. They made sure our glasses/cups were kept topped up, but weren't obtrusive in any way shape or form. All in all great value for money!

Unfortunately we were moved from the Library Lounge to a room with a poorer view of the Thames. However, they discounted the price for this, and we were happy with the overall experience

County Hall Marriott was an amazing location for our afternoon tea get together. The Bubbles were a little slow to start off with but as it got less busy they really were free flowing. The staff were friendly and very helpful (thanks Alexandra!). We will definitiely be coming back. Fantastic value. The only down negative point was the obstructed river view as a result the current scaffolding around the building - up for 6 weeks sadly!! Otherwise it is definitely worth a visit.

Tea and cava (note not champagne) was fine, but we were seated in a dark corner right next to the piano, making it hard to talk, and were not served for more than half an hour after arriving. The toilets/rest rooms were also in a poor state of tidiness and the river view was semi-obscured by scaffolding. A good deal, but not quite as good as it sounds.

This experience was really nice - food, service and ambience superb. Just a little disappointed that there was scaffolding outside the building which obviously obscured the view we were hoping to have but that said we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

My friends from New York thoroughly enjoyed their typically British experience. The champagne was free flowing. The view of Big Ben was marred by the scaffolding (only downside)
