The staff deserve a special mention here as they were so accommodating and friendly, even though we were late! We thought the food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed choosing our tea from the sample box. As for the bubbles; plenty of them!

Lovely setting, very friendly staff, tea was lovely and best of all the free flowing bubbles. Must give it a go.

Loved it! Hope that other Afternoon Tea experiences I have are like this one! As soon as we arrived at the hotel my friend and I were greeted by a very smiley approachable young lady who showed us the way to the Library Lounge as we'd not been here before. We were 'handed over' to Elena who showed us to our table; I was pleased that they allocated us a table with fantastic views (which I did ask for when I booked) of the Thames, Big Ben etc. Also there was plenty of room between tables didn't feel like you were on top of other diners. We made ourselves comfy in the wood clad library, it was lovely and tranquiI and in next to no time we were given our "free flowing bubbles" which was very acceptable and we were VERY regularly"topped up"!! Next we were shown a selection of teas and invited to smell each of them before making our choice; we chose Orange and Cinnamon, good choice. We originally chose a Blackcurrant one but they had run out (may have been a good idea not to have kept this one in the box to choose from - just a minor criticism). Our tea and 3 tiered plate of sandwiches, scones and sweet delights arrived and time was taken to explain to us what we were about to consume; we were told that we could request more, which we did. The sandwiches were adequate, wholemeal and white bread, small amount of filling but very tasty: fillings were smoke salmon, beef horseradish, egg, ham mustard; we had 2 types scones 1 savoury, 1 sweet these were favourite and served with cream cheese (savoury) and clotted cream and jam (sweet). Our teapots were replenished and so were our "bubbles" yet again !! Our final delight was the top tier - beautifully crafted macaroons, salted caramel and chocolate creations - we were in heaven. We ate everything up. No hesitation in recommending this to others. We were not rushed at all, we were there on a Tuesday for over 2 hrs, not sure what Friday and weekends are like. Will definitely return. The attending staff were so friendly.

Free flowing bubbles offer was a good deal but not the best afternoon tea I have experienced ( and I have done a lot) however staff were very friendly and courteous. Unfortunately sandwiches were dry and fillings scarce and scones were very hard. The furniture in the room was dusty and the seats needed a good steam clean to get stains out ! Little touches like this make a good establishment a great establishment.

Afternoon tea with free flowing bubbles in the Library Lounge was absolutely 5 star. The service was faultless. The food was delicious and my friend and I spent a leisurely afternoon catching up drinking champagne and enjoying the beautiful view of Big Ben and the Thames. Highly recommended.

Lovely birthday afternoon tea with mum, beautiful serene room with intermittent non intrusive piano playing, attentive and friendly staff! The whole operation runs like clockwork. Surprise amuse bouche which was a great touch! The scones were to die for, and as stated ever flowing bubbles! A pity to see other diners in jeans, but the whole experience was incredibly enjoyable, would thoroughly recommend to anyone and I shall definitely go back! :)

My friends and I went on the 'unlimited bubbles' Star Deal and had a brilliant time. The food & service were excellent and our glasses were never empty - such good value for money! Lovely ambience and spectacular views of Parliament & the Thames, would absolutely recommend.

I took my mum and an aunt who was visiting us from Australia for afternoon tea at the library lounge, I chose the venue as I had been before . the service was first class as always, they even squeezed us in an hour earlier than we booked for . the atmosphere is relaxed informal, the food is outstanding ,bubbles are definitely free flowing, and there savoury and sweet scones are the lightest ive ever tasted . well done chef, the views of big ben and the houses of parliament are a must especially for tourists visiting . great value for money it costs. if you book a late appointment around 4pm in the winter months you see everything light up from your window very nice if you want to impress someone also you have your own space not sitting on top of one and other.
