Lovely afternoon tea. Good choice of sandwiches and cakes and free flowing bubbles - you can't go wrong! Wonderful setting overlooking the Thames. Staff really friendly too. Fabulous!

We booked the £36 afternoon tea with endless bubbles.. We had a beautiful view of London, the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and the food lovely. They even brought us extra sandwiches .. I loved every moment and would definetly come again.

The Reading Room is a nice place to be and would be nice and cosy in the winter I'm sure. All the staff that we met through the hotel were pleasant and friendly. The food was interesting and a little bit different and it was good that there were enough of each kind of cake for us both to have the same. However I could teach them a thing or two about sandwich fillings, there needs to be more and a little more seasoning. The bubbly was good, not a cheap nasty one and we were not rushed. I'd give them 8/10.

The afternoon was an absolute delight. It was to celebrate a friends 50th birthday and it was a real treat for her and also us!! The staff were attentive, polite and all had a smile. We were dubious about 'free flowing bubbles' but no worries, they were very free flowing and in fact, at one point, had to say no more! We were also running late by about 30minutes, I 'phoned to advise and when we arrived we not made to feel uncomfortable. A wonderful experience in delightful surroundings.

A beautiful setting with delightfully attentive waiting staff and stunning food. The free flowing bubbles very definitely flow freely - this is no feint promise! Additional food is offerred (although the tea is by no means skimpy!) and is delivered promptly and with a smile! I would recommend highly.

This was our third time here and it was just as good as the first time. Because of a wedding we had tea in the restaurant instead of the library but the service and food were just as good although the view wasn't . We have the champagne deal and they are very generous with it filling your glass at every opportunity.

A very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Special requests for no fish was remembered, champagne was flowing with glasses constantly being filled before they were empty and service was excellent. Sandwiches were good enough, have tasted better at other afternoon teas, requested extra sandwiches and served in no time at all. We were not rushed at all and stayed about three hours, as we started chatting to the couple next to us. A very pleasant, enjoyable afternoon, will definitely be going again.
