To start our starters was fine we had booked for the festive Christmas meal we was told to phone over what we wanted from the menu (as there was 12 of us)i phoned over what everyone wanted and the young lady i spoke to said she would pass our order onto the kitchen and they would sort it out for us,then when we had our starter we was told it was the carvery with starters and dessert this was not told to us until the evening we booked in for 17:15 but they had us down for 18:00 and then to top it all the carvery closed at 18:00 so after a few words with the manageress when she told us the main meal was the carvery we went up there was turkey but very little as it was the end of the day.
Then after our main meal 15 min later 4 desserts were brought to the table then had to wait a further 20 min for the next 8 to arrive from start to finish it was a joke the table should have been decorated with Christmas decorations this was not done, my wife that had organised the get together with friends that we will not be seeing now to the new year, she was very down after although after the meal the manageress took £26 off the bill for the inconvienice it did not stop my wife being upset

Disappointing for me personally because I received the last of the end of the joint of beef (which was then replaced). It was full of gristle and I was unable to eat much of it at all. I didn't complain at the time because I could see it would involve a lot of wasted time and, for all I knew I might still end up with inedible meat. The rest of my party chose a different meat and seemed quite OK. Incidentally I saw on the way out that you are sourcing some beer from 'Brewdog' but not their brilliant alcohol-free (0.5%) beer called 'Nanny State'. Silly name but brilliant beer and so much better than Becks Blue iof you want beer rather than lager.
