Hi! The staff were very welcoming and able to accommodate the change in our booking time. And the food itself was quite nice. However there were a few details lacking in the overall afternoon tea package. The sandwiches were quite cold when brought to the table, as if made and refrigerated for a long time before. If they can't be freshly made, allow more time for them to come to room temperature. I was also disappointed by the lack of tea/coffee refills. While additional hot water was brought for the tea, only one small coffee was initially provided for the coffee drinker. I would have expected at least a pot. We were charged extra for an additional cup of coffee.... I am not surprised that there were few people there during our visit. The modern ambience and decor did not complement 'traditional' afternoon tea.
However I did like the food, the tea and the teapot wS extremely cute, if small!

we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and we had no worries about the time the meal took as it was a pre show meal.

Service was unobtrusive, polite and friendly. Portion size generous. We had the terrine which was delicious to start, followed by lamb cooked as I asked medium rare, more on the rare side with rich tasty dophinoise potatoes. The vegetable were crunchy and fresh. Berry cheesecake pudding was also a delight. The atmosphere was romantic and the decor modern and luxurious. An extremely lovely evening, one to remember.
