The original Hakkasan restaurant, Hakkasan Hanway Place is a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in Soho. Designed by Christian Liaigre, the glamorous dining room combines Chinese history, tradition and architecture.

Chinese cuisine from Executive Head Chef of the Hakkasan Group, Chef Tong Chee Hwee, is found on the Hakkasan menu. Strong Chinese and Cantonese influences are weaved through the authentic dishes, with innovative signature offerings including Peking duck with caviar and pancakes, or roasted silver cod with champagne and honey. The eclectic Taste of Hakkasan menu offers a journey through flavours, for between 2 and 7 people.

A 16-metre bar at Hakkasan restaurant in London showcases inventive Asian-inspired cocktails, which can be enjoyed at Ling Ling, the chic late lounge.

A weekly lunch event, ‘Dim Sum Sunday', is staged every Sunday from 12:00 until 17:00, and features sessions from Hakkasan’s resident DJ, Pathaan. Highlights include crispy duck salad, Chinese chive dumpling with prawn and crabmeat, crispy smoked duck and pumpkin puff, and grilled Chilean sea bass. The menu includes a cocktail from Hakkasan’s award-winning list to start, followed by a half bottle of Louis Roederer Champagne per person (a Magnum between 4 guests) and concludes with a digestive cocktail to enjoy with dessert.

With carved lattice screens and swathes of smooth dark English oak, Hakkasan Hanway Place in Soho offers a unique and intimate dining experience. Tottenham Court Road Tube Station is a 3-minute walk away.

The restaurant is huge, thats the overriding first impression. It's also full and buzzing. Clientele as you would expect - wannabees and city slickers as well as those seeking a genuine eating experience. Service was professional, attentive and excellent, wine expensive with £27 being the cheapest bottle. Food, though (on the bookatable star deal of £35 per head) was mixed. Dim sum excellent, soft shell crab little taste; stir fry beef dry and uninteresting, roast pork ok, sweet and sour prawns and grilled sea bream with honey fantastic; puddings average.
Overall a good experience, but slightly underwhelming, though I would go again if I could eat a la carte.

We had the 3-course menu. The portion of the main was really small. The taste was fine. We very much liked the lamb salad that we ordered separately, but nothing in the menu was nearly as good.

Had the tasting menu, which was £35 for 3 courses. Everything we had was amazing. Great quality and flavours. Still cost me £100 but was a lovely treat for his birthday. Service was speedy and professional.

Was taken to lunch at Hakkasan, Hanway Place and had the set lunch for £35. The soft shelled crab for starters was excellent as was the duck main course. My friend had the dim sum and the sweet and sour prawns and thought thesewere very good too. The desserts were also very good. ~The lighting in the restaurant is very low but fortunately there is enough light over each table to make it possible to see what you are eating. Unfortunately the lift was not working so we had to climb all the stairs back up to the entrance after our meal.

The deal was excellent value, with great menu choices and wonderful food. The restaurant was fabulous with very attentive staff who made great wine and cocktail recommendations. We had a lovely time and will definitely go back, although the standard menu is quite pricey so only for a special occasion.

Booked a £35 deal, though with wine and water still came to £130plus. Ambience good,be nice for cocktails after work.Service friendly but much too attentive, they all but eat our food for us and there was always some one or two hovering which was disconcerting..take a sip or two of wine and the glass was filled up...all too much. Food was nice but really not much better tasting than a good Gerard street restaurant, it was prettier and certainly more delicate...but nothing bowled us over...desserts were good tho.but next time I'll pay £35 for two in Gerard street much better value!
