We booked a table for 8 people for 6PM well in advance. Upon arrival the restaurant was empty, and for some reason it took us 10 mins to get seated.
Once seated it took another 20 mins to get the waiter to order our drinks, and another ridiculous 20 mins to get our drinks served, and this was only after my colleague approached the waiter to ask why it was taking so long.
within 10 mins of our drinks being served, the waiter came round to take everyone's order, while taking our order a sweet or something flew out her mouth and landed on the floor, which she left there, and carried on taking our order as if we had not just seen something something fly out her mouth. We all ordered 2 tapas each and got 2 for free as part of an online deal we saw.
unfortunately we had to wait for 30 - 45 mins for our tapas to get served, by this time we were staring!!!!
when the food finally arrived, it tasted good.

The service was awful and can not believe it took us so long to get our food bearing in mind we got there at 6pm and didn't get served till 7:30pm.

Very disappointed with food and drink . Sangria was totally rubbish ...no taste of red wine! We ordered tapas and asked for second courses ( steak and 2 paellas) to be brought after. Steak was brought while we started our tapas so was cold when my dad was ready to eat it. Paellas we're going to be served too but I stopped them coming . When dishes were cleared away paellas were served ....very bland both fish one and vegetarian . A very disappointing evening

Not the best experience...we went for celebratory dinner, noone to sit us down for good 5min as waitress was too busy taking photos, they didn't have oureceived booking but that was not an issue to be sitted. Put us off massively that they charge 3£ for 3 tiny pieces of toasted bread :/ the rest of food was good ...waiter not most attentive and sangria was far of what we had many times when living in Spain. When we got the bill we had to as for correction and to apply offer we have booked for. Overall..first time we had amazing experience but second time has ruined it completely. Shame...as we love spanish food!

Great location. Didn't know anything about the restaurant beforehand. Food was really good and although the service was a little 'slow' as it has such a good vibe and the surroundings are impressive, then who cares. We were happy to sit back, relax and enjoy. Will definitely go back on next visit to Canary Wharf.

I come from Spain myself and felt that the tapas at La Tasca were quite authentic. The food takes a bit long to prepare but the quality is very good. Highly recommend a these tapas: croquetas de pollo (chicken croquettes), pescado rebozado (fried fish), pork cheeks, champiñones (mushrooms).

Service was good but a bit slow, possibly understaffed. Careful when you order a glass of wine, specify the amount you want and it is advisable to ask them to pour it in front of you so that you know it is the bottle of wine that you ordered. Ambience is nice, decoration is unique, large candle on each table. The salsa/bachata/spanish music in the background is good.
