Service was excellent. Royal high tea was a wonderful experience. The Russian caviar and assorted sandwiches all tasted great.

Great experience overall although we had to ask a waiter to serve us because no one approached us at first. Other than that, very friendly staff and very accommodating.

I hadn't booked the Russian Tearoom previously because I'd always thought of it as a tourist place, but it turned out to be lovely and most of the people there when we were seemed to be going to Carnegie Hall or City Center. The two of us were seated in a nice big red leather booth and enjoyed the ambiance, looking at all the many pictures on the walls as well as the variety of decorative samovars. The service was excellent, right up to the time we wanted the check, when there was a bit of a wait, but we were in plenty of time for our 7 p.m. curtain anyway. My husband ordered orange juice, and it seemed to be fresh squeezed, but cost $12! All the food from the Restaurant Week menu that we had was delicious, especially their version of borscht, which wasn't quite what I had expected. Nor was my beef stroganoff, which featured a single piece of tender and tasty beef, and the generous amount of mushrooms in the sauce were delicious, too. All in all, a lovely start to our evening and we'll be back (though maybe not ordering orange juice).

Above all, one is made to feel welcome. We were seated in the last right side booth facing the kitchen. It was Sunday last at 7 pm. The atmosphere was indeed regal.the entire experiemce was first rate and unforgettable. Truly enjoyed our fine server from Albania.
