Palmen Restaurant at Grand Hotel Oslo Palmen Restaurant is located inside the Grand Hotel Oslo. Since 1874, the Grand Hotel has been an inspiration amongst the quirky and exceptional, and Palmen keeps the bohemian history alive. The area that is now Palmen Restaurant was originally an open hotel garden with a spring, called Palmehaven. Guests could enjoy dining on a shaded porch, and Norwegian playwright and poet Henrik Ibsen was a frequent visitor when he needed a break from the city’s summer heat. The beautiful ceiling was added in 1913, and Palmen Restaurant opened its doors. Since then, the restaurant has been a place for the people of Oslo and travelers to meet. Throughout the decade, Palmen has been through many renovations, and was most recently refurbished in 2016 to become what it is today – a Norwegian icon. Enjoy the beautiful Murano glass chandelier by Cerith Wyn Evans and Vanessa Baird’s artwork of thirty six different panels, depicting the imaginative world of fairytales, Oslo’s highlights and inspiration from the great bohemians. Palmen is the place to feel the charm and vibrant characteristics of Grand Hotel Oslo– where people meet the best of what Oslo has to offer. Palmen Restaurant has a menu consisting of seasonal dishes as well as classics with a modern twist. There are weekly specials in addition to the set menu. The restaurant has an extensive wine & champagne list and employs several top sommeliers. Othilia Lobby Bar is adjacent to the restaurant and is the perfect place to start or end the evening, with a cocktail or two!

Et veldig koselig sted å sitte/være. God service.
