Lovely building, great atmosphere and ambience. The waiting staff were all very friendly and attentive though it was very busy and we did have to chase a few times for our drinks and coffees. The food was wonderful, I could not fault any of it. I had Monkfish for my main course and I'd return again, just to eat that dish once more... it was lovely. The desserts were equally great, my Christmas pudding was delicious. Overall, I did feel it was just slightly pricey but it was my birthday treat so well worth it.

We were a party of four each sampling different dishes. We were all absolutely delighted with the super delicious and beautifully presented food. Personally I can thoroughly recommend the lamb meille feuille and the prawn crusted coley with a green curry sauce. However we did find the restaurant particularly noisy. Our table was situated to the side of the restaurant under quite a low ceiling (the library balcony was above) and the tables were very close together. At some points conversation was quite difficult. For a Monday evening the restaurant was very full and this caused service to be quite slow on requests for wine and water. We would certainly return for the delicious food but would request a table in the centre of the restaurant.

Food quality was great. However service was very slow, regardless of the fact that there were many waitress/es none seems to notice our table was awaiting. Every course was slow to come. So overall I would recommend better management and organisation!

Excellent food as usual! I was disappointed to hear that the gin trolley had been retired, though! Wines are expensive.
