    We had an afternoon tea in the city Hilton garden cafe. The outdoor space is lovely, staff were very welcoming and accommodating, the afternoon tea was very fresh and delishious. It was well presented, there is nothing we could fault. Enjoyed it thoroughly, I'd done here again.

    For price compared to Valerie patisserie - Valerie is much better and the food at Valerie nicer. The brownie was dry and the sandwiches quite plain compared to Valerie pesterir so in future would use Valerie instead

    Very disappointing, not the standard we would expect from a hilton. The service was poor, people who arrived after us were served their food (which was the same as ours) at least 10 mins before us. The food was low standard, carrot cake undercooked and inedible, the sandwiches poor, whute sliced bread filled with more sauce than processed meat. The mulled wine was undrinkable, it tasted old and as though it had been stewing for days. There was often no member of staff in the restaurant for long periods of time so couldn't even send it back. Even the case the afternoon tea came in was odd and not the classic afternoon tea stand we were expecting. All in all very disappointed with a special treat we had been looking forward to mainly due to the poor customer service.
