Reviews of Simply Indian

Went in a group of 6 people. I hadn't been aware it was a BYOB restaurant but that's my fault, staff told me where I could go to pick up a beer if I wanted to so no problems there. Small restaurant so not much in the way of ambience; fairly minimal decorations too so not a particularly exciting place to eat. However, the food is excellent. Well flavoured and well cooked, even the poppadoms were better than most Indian restaurants I've been too. Clearly the chef knows what he's doing so would recommend this place for anyone in the London Bridge area looking for good Indian food. Only real negatives were that the staff were very pushy in terms of us ordering more food...were quite insistent we order a dessert, took some convincing that we didn't want one, and then the bill took a while to come. Nearly gave 3-stars for that but, ultimately, it was a good meal and we had fun, so think the restaurant deserves a 4-star rating overall.

small restaurant close to Borough station. Great food, excellent choice!! Not the standard-Indian-menu. Third visit, more to follow! BYOB, you can take your pint from the pub across the street...

Great as always! Everything has an amazingly fresh taste. High quality ingredients used throughout and friendly service. We have also been for the lunch menu in the past, great Dosa, also had a delicious vegetable curry.

Small restaurant in a side street. Food was lovely and very tasty, quick service (although there was only us and one other couple in the restaurant) the best thing was you could take your own drink which cuts the bill down considerably, overall lovely restaurant!

the food is very good, excellent and you get to try other indian dishes than the "standard chichen korma"
