Booking service was really easy. Restaurant lived up to our expectations and was a good meal for the price

The staff where friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. However the food was slightly disappointing for the price. We eat at the Bournemouth Harry Ramsden every summer and it is delicious, so was expecting the same.

Despite having a booking no clean tables were available. Had to wait 35 minutes for the food to come, even though they were no that busy. The prawn cocktail was mostly tasteless, garish red sauce with a few prawns and one piece of lettuce. The wrong types of fish were on the wrong plates, The lumpy, uninviting mushy peas and the chips were just warm. Harry Ramsden's used to have a good name, sadly now the quality has gone down and the prices gone up. Can get better value with better food at many places local to this restaurant. The one staff member front of house was pleasant and friendly though.

Booked a table here before a Yarmouth circus show. Arrived on time - as soon as we made an order, we we were told that we would have to wait 25 mins for our food (no starters, 2 x fish and chips + 1 x burger and chips). Restaurant was not particularly full, but decided to accept the time delay as had nowhere else to go. When order eventually arrived (approx 30 mins) food was fine but mushy peas not hot enough (table nearby had sent theirs back as cold). Side order of gravy was not delivered until asked for. Strange idea of no cutlery on table - food is delivered, then cutlery in a bucket ! Drinks delivered earlier were fine but pot of tea was given with only 2 sachets of sugar - had to ask for extra sugar to enjoy the rest of the pot. Food overall was fine but biggest gripe is the time before you receive your order. It is lucky we decided to allow 1 1/2 hrs before the show or we would not have made it. Seems that the takeaway section (next door) receives priority over the restaurant section ( who is going to wait 30 mins for a takeaway ?) Restaurant customers are paying a premium (approx 100%) over takeaway customers - why don't they receive the according service ? Oh - and the toilets in the basement have possibly the narrowest cubicles I have ever seen ! Didn't notice if they have separate disabled toilets on the ground floor but if not, there is no way they would make it down the stairs or enter the cubicles.

Food was a good standard, service too was warm and friendly, however staff training was taking place within the seating area, appreciate space may well be a premium, but as a paying guest do I really need to know all of Harry’s up selling techniques? Shame would have been a great visit if not for that Happy to discuss further :07720 808690

All four of us enjoyed all our food very much and being seated upstairs we enjoyed the views of the seafront whilst we dined. All staff were friendly but the female staff all called me " love"at every opportunity. Fish described as Large were normal size to us and we found chip portions to be rather small, saying that they were all cooked to perfection. The only downer was the upstairs gents was tatty and blocked during our visit.
