Beschreibung
Trading since the mid-1850s, The Oaken Arms near Wolverhampton is nestled in the rolling countryside of Staffordshire. Offering well-loved British pub cuisine, it boasts plush Chesterfield armchairs, an enclosed brick hearth and, true to name, chunky oak beams. The classic whitewashed exterior and the enclosing country can be enjoyed from the al fresco garden for summer dining.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Oaken Arms menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Oaken Arms ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
At just 5 minutes’ drive from the picturesque village of Codsall and its Train Station, or 10 minutes to Wolverhampton, The Oaken Arms is a perfect country retreat.

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere still despite the covid restrictions that were clearly visible and adhered to by all. Loved the real fire! Food was fantastic. I had the lamb rump which was just perfect and the gravy/sauce plentiful and very tasty! It came with Dauphonoise potatoes and carrots. Just lovely. My friend had the slow cooked beef bourginion which was so tender it fell apart. Again plenty of rich sauce and vegetables. We had mini puddings which were in fact a great size! Fruit crumble and ample custard (not the dribble you get elsewhere). All washed down with a cold glass of Pinot and finished off with a coffee This was only the 3rd time I have been to a pub to eat following the Spring lockdown and as I live in Staffs we are about to go into tier 2 so as I live alone it may be the last for a while. Just for a few hours it felt like the world was not in the crazy state it is! The staff were excellent and I felt safe and 'looked after' throughout my visit
