Descripción
Starting its life as a coaching inn in the 18th century, The Swan has always been central to travellers, and in the past its rich tapestry attracted such luminaries and artists as William Morris, Gustav Holst, and Edward Johnstone. A traditional London pub with cosy, welcoming interiors, it offers a delicious menu of well-loved British dishes.
Since Nicholson’s pubs were first established in 1873, these traditional British inns have become synonymous with warm hospitality, hearty pub food and a speciality range of ales. As well as always featuring British pub classics like beer-battered fish & chips and gammon & eggs, The Swan menu is complemented by a rotating selection of pie, sausage & chop and fish specials for each season.
The Swan bar is always stocked with exquisite gins, warming whiskies and fine wines to pair with favourite meals, and there’s always a superb range of seasonal and regional real ales on offer. A constant at the bar is the St Austell-brewed Nicholson’s Pale Ale, made with Cornish Maris Otter malts, and a hand-picked blend of English hops.
The Swan in Hammersmith is a minute’s walk from Hammersmith Tube Station.

Had a quick bite before a show at the Apollo. We both had pies, which were excellent, and the wine was well priced

Pleasant, roomy, comfortable pub. Quiet despite location on Hammersmith Broadway. Downstairs pub, restaurant upstairs. Nicely themed decor around famous residents of Hammersmiith (eg Wm Morris). Nothing special about the food -- pretty standard menu (steak & ale pie, fish,& chips etc. but done well with prompt & friendly service. We went there because we were going to Fulham at Craven Cottage, so location was 5* for us but may not strike other people that way!

Enjoyable evening. During Christmas rush we opted for a la carte menu, which was very good. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Menu suitable for gluten free and vegetarian members of our group. Atmosphere jolly.

Restaurant upstairs is very good. The problem we had was having a drink after in the bar downstairs was seeing a mouse running around. When we saw that the wife decided it was time to leave. I don't think she will want to go back.

A nice pub in a great location. A very tasty meal. I had chicken and chips, there was plenty of it and it was nicely cooked. It would have been nice to have had some salad or veg with it as it just came with coleslaw. Clean toilets but the hand dryer wasn't working.

A decent lunch. Pity the plates were cold.
