With stunning views of the Lancashire countryside from atop Parbold Hill, Miller & Carter – Parbold is a cosy, informal steakhouse with a contemporary design & a large terrace for summer al fresco dining. Specialising in succulent, hand-cut, 28-day aged steaks, the restaurant sources all its meat from sustainable British farms.
The Miller & Carter menu is led by hand-cut, 30-day aged steaks, all carefully sourced from sustainable British & Irish farms, and expertly cooked. Favourite cuts span from a deliciously tender grass-fed Ribeye, aged for 50 days for a rich, buttery flavour, to a luxurious sharing chateaubriand. Other Miller & Carter signature dishes include smoky barbecue ribs with seasoned fries & dressed slaw, and a pork fillet wrapped in bacon with apple 3 ways served with dauphinoise potato, green beans and roasted Mediterranean-style vegetables.
To finish, sweet indulgences include chocolate hazelnut bomb, an indulgent, rich chocolate ganache encased in toasted hazelnuts and chocolate nibs, served with pecan praline ice cream and zesty orange curd. Staff very good waitress which was the managers wife very good good service polite

We booked this restaurant after cancelling Hawksmoor in Manchester. The restaurant looks brilliant and our waitress Bev was fantastic. We ordered drinks, had starters and everything was going well. The mains arrived and it’s where the incompetence began. My son and I ordered the £53.95 chateaubriand, medium rare, the food came and when we cut into it the cut was clearly medium. We called the waitress over (not Bev) and she said it was 'fine' but it clearly was not. For a £53.95 cut of beef words like fine mean “shut up and eat it”. Bev came over and realised straight away. Everything was taken to be redone. My wife and daughter began eating their food and when I asked how it was she said cold but we are starving so they ate it. They finished their meals and myself and my son basically watched them eat. Take two, chateaubraiand arrives - cooked perfectly- amazing. We had ordered garlic greens and cauliflower cheese. Plus the meal comes with fries, tomato and onion bread. Every portion and side dish was freezing, perfectly cooked steak frozen veg. The cauliflower cheese was looking at me for help. I called Bev over again and highlighted the issue and again she was great. My son was so hungry he ate the cold chips and steak, I didn’t. The night was ruined for me. This is supposed to be a top class restaurant, serving top class food. Just look at the prices they are expensive. To Bevs credit she reduced the bill and was very apologetic. The manager was of course nowhere to be seen and I’m guessing the chef is a fish on a unicycle. Overall an awful experience and a 10th wedding anniversary meal ruined. They say you can’t put a price on happiness but Miller and Carter can put a price on misery - £72. Bev you were brilliant. As for the people hiding behind you, get some training!!!

Good food and good service Not sure a lump of iceberg lettuce with dressing on top and cheese is really a side salad though!

Dined on Valentine’s Day. Had fillet steak which was very nice Waited 45 mins for our food which we felt was too long. Had creme brûlée for a desert which was rather runny and lacked a crispy top

Really good experience. Good choice on the menu, fantastic service. Food was phenomenal. We had the chipotle chicken and barbacoa yorkie starters, the sirloin and salmon risotto mains, and the sticky toffee pudding to finish. It was all incredible. Our waitress was ever so cheerful and friendly but efficient. Service was quick and value was great too. Thoroughly recommend!

Had a lovely time celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday with family. Everyone enjoyed their starters and steaks. We were all too full to fit in a dessert! The waitress was lovely too.
