The food was good but the service was not. The staff are often unhelpful and very abrupt.

the restaurant looked somewhat shabby - chair covers, carpet, general decor looked tired. the service staff were charmless and apart from the lady who served us, were almost to a person not interested in the customers. i was forced to wait while not one but two service staff went past me - not delivering food to a table - where the chairs were too close together. i would have thought customers would be given the "right of way"! the waiter threw the plates onto the table so that they actually wobbled and spun on landing. the waitress failed to tell us that the portions of food we had ordered would be way too much (although she did help with another suggestion about a dish for our daughter). the food itself was very oily - from the prawn crackers to the asparagus and all the dishes in between. the lemon chicken turned up several minutes after the other dishes and was about three portions in size. it was all most unedifying for a restaurant purporting to be at the higher end of the market. and there were no hot towels at the end of the meal, just a chemical wipe in a sachet. one final thing - as i left the restaurant, i had to say goodbye to the manager and staff first - if i hadn't spoken first, my family and i would have walked out without so much as an acknowledgement from the staff. and all this for the better part of 200 quid. we thought we'd go into London for a good Chinese meal, something a bit special - in fact, our local, in Eastcote, Yi Bann, would have been a much better choice.

Average food dinner quality. Our local takeaway actually much better (Good Heaven in wandsworth). The vietnamese spring roll was foul. The quarter shredded duck pancake was decent. The sichuan prawns was too spicy. They dont have low alcohol beer either so not-friendly for non-alcohol drinkers. Heard they were better for dim sum which they only do at lunch time. I prefer yaucha in soho or even din tai fung in covent garden. I think they mainly thrive due to location close to oxford street for tourists.

Stunning authentic Chinese decor with great friendly services. Food is gourmet Cantonese style which is the top cuisine in taste, look and scent aspect.

The meal was a real disaster and I will not return to this restaurant. The service was poor, and we made to feel that we were in their way. We had ½ duck and because they underestimated the pancakes and the vegetable accompaniment we had to order more and wait at least five minutes by which time the duck was very cold etc! When it came to the bill, they made an additional charge for additional pancakes etc. This is a first as far as I am concerned. We are not tourists so when I tried to discuss this additional charge with the deputy manager, he was not the slightest bit interested and just kept repeating “thank you”. So we left the premises, never to return. They are lucky that I have not spread the word via trip advisor.

This restaurant has been a favourite of mine for a few years now. The main reason is they have a cantonese duck with a crispy skin that is simply the best anywhere. It's not cheap, that half duck portion is £20,80 and it will be enough for one person only, or two if you get another main also. All the dishes have been great, I've never had a bad meal there. It's the sort of restaurant you go to once in a while, expect to spend £120 for two if you get starters, two mains, drinks and desserts. It's not really a place to get a large selection of drinks, where they shine is the food selection.

Spacious restaurant. Busy but not too noisy so you can still have a pleasant conversation. I love the vegetarian mock-duck pancakes. Great vegetarian set menu and lots more veggie options added. So delicious! Great price for the set menu too. No cloakroom so hanging coats on the back of chairs. I'm ok with this but funny for such an up-market restaurant. A bit rushed with no space between courses, so could have slowed things down a bit, but I would highly recommend this restaurant. It has improved alot over the years.
