Avis de Hawksmoor Guildhall

Dined with friends at Hawksmoor and went for the Bookatable offer, great starters. My friend had the potted beef and it came with two huge yorkshire puddings. Wasn't too fussed about the rump steak, not the best steak I've had but the desserts were WOW. The server, described in detail each of the menu choices and it was difficult to chose. Went for the Honeycomb sundae and it had great flavours, somehow managed to finish it !? Thought it was quite noisy in the restaurant and it was considered a quite evening. We were originally sat in the middle of the room and the staff were accommodating and allowed us to sit in the 'quieter' corner of the restaurant. All staff were a delight when serving the dishes.

Lovely grub

Loved the food here and the staff were very attentive and knowledgable. Went for the rib eye which was excellent. Was late on a Friday evening so was quite loud. Didn’t bother us too much, but was with old friends and couldn’t quite hear each other. After dinner staff moved us to a quieter table which was great.

The breakfast was fantastic.

Delicious food and great service. The full fat old fashioned was a great alternative to a dessert!
