Set in the charming village of Fressingfield in Suffolk, The Fox & Goose restaurant showcases traditional-meets-modern cuisine. This 2 AA Rosette-holding restaurant is featured in both the Michelin and Harden's food guides.
Starters on the Fox & Goose menu might include smoked duck breast with pickled winter vegetables, whilst the wild sea bass with scallop mousse with sherry caramel and Parmesan crumble is a must-try main course.
A mouth-watering array of desserts follow, among which the chocolate and peanut butter mousse with popcorn, salted caramel and caramelised white chocolate sorbet is a favourite. This Grade II-listed setting also features an impressive al fresco area, shaded by the neighbouring greenery.
Featuring a tasting menu and a prized Sunday lunch offering, The Fox & Goose is a diverse dining spot. Bosting many original features, this former guildhall has stood on the site since 1509.

We had a beautiful meal last Wednesday to celebrate my husband's 86th birthday, including starters, mains and puddings. Thoroughly enjoyed everything in a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were excellent and friendly.

This lovely restaurant never fails to impress. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Excellent staff, helpful, not intrusive. We enjoyed the mushroom and fennel soup. I was hoping that this would be on the menu again, its delicious. Served with warm homemade bread rolls. This was followed by the pork fillet with red cabbage. Cooked perfectly, soft but cooked through, accompanied by a taste sensation of various other vegetables. I had the 'Tonka' dessert (not a truck in sight) lovely. My husband enjoyed the cheese plate, a great variety of cheeses. A cheese lovers delight. Followed by excellent coffee and complementary bon bons. A great birthday treat. Thank you to you all.

Excellent opportunity to sample new tastes & flavours with taster menu. Really enjoyed fish & meat mains but not as bowled over in general as with previous 2 taster menu visits. Wines excellent. Scored ambience low as I much prefer cosy to modern. Just my personal taste.

We love this restaurant. It never disappoints. My favourite lunch starter is the confit duck, but there is always something new to try on the seasonal menu. The chef certainly knows how to put flavours together!
