Pleasant hotel with friendly accommodating staff. Visited for weekday lunch with elderly relative. Staff found suitable chair with no fuss as chairs are very low in the lounge. Food well presented and with good choice -delicious treacle tart ! Will be back for more!

It has been a very nice surprise our dining at the restaurant of the Two Bridges Hotel. The food was great and all dishes were based on local food ingredients. The staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere was excellent with live piano music. The wine list was equally nice.I would definitely recommend it to anyone who might be visiting Dartmoor.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with my girlfriend. Piano was being played and we sat by the fire. Lovely food and excellent service.

We were not very impressed at all. Dogs in the restaurant, staff had dirty uniforms. Patrons trying to be discreet about giving a dog a drink of water from a table glass. Nice linen tablecloths but ruined with paper napkins. Waitresses

I have eaten here a number of times in the past and been very happy, I would recommend the restaurant for dinner. This was the first time I've had afternoon tea here, we booked it in the lounge so that we could have our dog with us - the sandwiches were reasonable but the rest of the food was really bad - the scones crumbled to bit when you tried to spread cream and jam on them and the other cakes were basically sugar and butter, they were barely edible. The couple on the table next to us ate the sandwiches and basically had a nibble of each of the other items before deciding to give up and leave, we managed a bit more but didn't enjoy the experience. Dining in the lounge is not great either - you have to stand in the bar queue to order and this took quite a lot of time. If you eat at Two Bridges, I suggest you stick to the restaurant.

we went for afternoon tea and it was delightful. on a miserable afternoon to be sitting by a blazing fire with a tiered stand of delicious goodies including warm scones with cream and jam, dainty sandwiches and a lovely choice of cakes. we had to ask to bring some home when we ran out of capacity. the ambiance is terrific. boxed games are stored under the tables to the delight of my 10 year old grandson. it felt like an afternoon in a country house novel - an Agatha Christie without the murder. very relaxing. staff welcoming and helpful. no negatives at all.

Gorgeous! We had a full afternoon tea on a wet and windy afternoon in February. The team had reserved us a perfect table by the log fire and quite honestly I could have sat there all day. The tea was delicious, too much to eat so they kindly packed up some of our cakes to take home.

Very disappointing. Having pre-booked an afternoon tea surprised to be told we had to order at the bar. The food was also disappointing. Sandwiches not particularly nice. Scones a nice flavour but too large and crumbled badly. The cakes also disappointing. One had a strange sort of custard-like topping, the eclairs were large and the filling had a poor taste. Wouldn't have wanted to try any of them again. Would be better to aim for dainty with good flavour. The surroundings were fine, and we were next to a roaring fire but the table top was sticky. The cups were a thick catering china which isn't very good for the sort of atmosphere you should be trying to create for afternoon tea. Liked the towels for dogs and bowls of water at the entrance. Good to see in a location like that.
