Lovely food cooked just how I like it ,and friendly staff in the restaurant.Also the deal for the meal included in the hotel stay was excellent value for money.

Received poor service, staff did not answer the phone most of the time meaning we have to physically go & ask. Picky I know but there’s a phone for a reason. Didn’t realise we had to book the swimming pool in advance, meaning we didn’t get to use the leisure facilities. This should be made much more clear when booking. There were more things wrong but I can’t be bothered to write them down. Overall, it wasn’t terrible but I just expected better from a four star hotel. I paid a lot to stay there & I felt like a burden to be there, It caused more stress than alleviated it.

I was extremely disappointed with Belfry, a week before my booking they said the could accommodate my gluten free request. The afternoon before my visit they messaged me to say they no longer could very disappointed with the short notice. The sandwiches and cakes were tasty however the scones were as if they were from Aldi budget range. Would not be going there for afternoon tea again.

We arrived at their restaurant and was led to a lounge cafe near the hotel lobby for our dinner! They only have a limited menu compare to what’s offer on their website, we placed our orders! My husband got his Guinness; I asked for lemon with my hot water and the waitress just bought me a cup hot water Without saying anything, then my husband went to bar to ask another staff and he said he will bring it to our table then 10 mins later he came back telling us there is NO lemon at all! We were shocked, It’s a 4 star hotel!! Then it took more than 45mins for food to arrive! Food is very bland, chicken on the salad is over cooked and dry, portions is small, dessert is below average! We were very hungry after long day at work, so we just ate our food! I feel just because we are entitled for the £10 discount they overcharged us on the salad and starters portions! For the price we pay we are not satisfied at all... for sure won’t be going back. Nothing close to what they described on their website .. very disappointed experience!!

I booked a table for 2 for afternoon tea and got a confirmation email. However, when we arrived at the venue, the staff didn't know that we had a booking. They said they are not ready at all for the afternoon tea. Instead, they offered free coffee & tea. Quite a disappointment. It was my birthday afternoon tea with my best friend.

We were looked after very well by the gentleman behind the bar. He explained the new safety protocols and made us feel very welcome. The food we ordered was brought out very promptly and it was very tasty. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and we had a very relaxing evening.

Lovely food but bit pricey! I had a mixed grill main course but it was £20 dont get me wrong it was delicious but not worth £20! But overall starter main and dessert was lovely

We went for dinner the night before VALENTINES (booked up for Valentines ) and I think they must have given the Chef the night off. the food was not I would have expected for a four star hotel. the seafood sharing platter was possibly enough for 1 person the rump steak was difficult to cut with a knife so very awkward to chew and the chicken Malabar was slightly burnt. the staff were friendly and the place was nice

We had dinner included in our package . I don't think you can fault the staff for being kind and smiley but the service is very " hit and miss". We were in the restaurant for 3 hours and all we had was a main course . We didn't get to desert! They kept forgetting to bring. the menu . Its bit like Fawlty towers really . my main course and wine choices were not available . Wine is expensive . All we had was a burger in the end . More like a 3 star really . The Asian slaw was probably shop bought and had spring onions in it, that's it !! Maybe needs more staff and stick to being a 3 star.

Food is still very good but this was our 4th visit to the Nottingham Belfry and it’s always been a QHotel. We believe the hotel is in transition to become part of The delta group. After dinner , which we waited almost an hour for, we requested coffee in the lounge and was told we couldn’t have coffee (it was 11.00pm) because the coffee machine was automatically cleaning itself. Enough said. The staff were generally helpful but the room cleaning/replenishing was not. Overall in our opinion after visiting 8 other QHotels, this is the first time we have seen a deterioration in the standards.
