Awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, The Restaurant at Seaview Hotel is just 50 yards from the sea, and serves hearty seasonal food in a delightful coastal setting. Head Chef Tom Bull knows how to bring the best out of the abundance of local produce, and does so in an informal yet sophisticated location. The hotel also houses a charming traditional pub, serving classic British food and real ales.
Making the most of its location in a picturesque fishing village, The Seaview restaurant and bar menu specialises in fresh seafood with fish often caught in sight of the hotel. Mainstays of the menu include the inventive combination of pork and monkfish with butternut purée or an authentic soupe de poisson. British bar classics are served in the Pump Bar and Naval Mess where can try the classic beer-battered fish with hand-cut chips and mushy peas, or beef hash with fried egg. Much of the produce comes straight from the hotel’s very own farm, and can be found in the likes of creamed wild mushrooms with toasted brioche and duck egg, and rib-eye steak with crispy shallots and peppercorn sauce.
Renowned for being chic yet charming and unfussy, Seaview Isle of Wight serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, all accompanied by idyllic coastal views. Enjoy one of many local ales in the hotel’s bar, decked out in seafaring paraphernalia.
The Seaview Hotel is just a 10-minute drive from Ryde and surrounded by the natural beauty of the island.

Good service and on the whole the meal was good, however there was no request to find out how we would like the duck we ordered cooked.

we love it here and always visit with family and friends. However, my veggie roast wasn't great - 2 Linda Mcartney veggie sausages? you could buy a mushroom wellington or nut roast from Waitrose if you couldn't be bothered to make your own. Not enough vegetables.

I’ve been meaning to eat the Seaview Hotel Restaurant for a long time - I have been coming to Seaview for the past 15 years and only ever eaten in the Pump Bar. The meal was refined and delightful I opted for the cheese soufflée to start, which was light and moreish, and interestingly served with chestnut purée and a herb oil. Then both my partner and I had the monkfish main course. That piece of fish was the highlight of the meal. It was expertly cooked. We finished by sharing the pumpkin tart with cinnamon ice cream, which was balanced and not overly sweet. Service was thoughtful, albeit maybe a touch slow at times given that the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. Overall I would highly recommend the Seaview Hotel restaurant for affordable fine dining.

Nicely presented, delicious food. Good service. Very poor overly bright lighting and cheap champagne flutes - not great!!

Food excellent but service was impersonal and unfriendly. Staff setting tables for breakfast as we ate dessert.

Delicious food well presented and worth a visit. We've eaten here 3 times now and cannot fault it.
