Very good... there was a bit of a wait for a table despite booking and we were then relegated to the garden room but as we weren’t hotel residents it was kind of to be expected in the COVID era. The food was excellent as was the wine. The staff did their best despite some objectionable woman a couple of tables over doing her best to make their day a living [hell]. One thing is if you are staying in the town it’s a fair old walk up but the view from the terrace at sunset is worth the effort.

We asked for specific dietary requirements online which they received and on arrival thus was reaffirmed. The afternoon tea sandwiches did not have the dietary requirements and were a little tasteless. For the price of 3 afternoon teas we found it expensive for what it was. I’m sorry but I won’t be going there again. Felt disappointed as this was my birthday treat ??

The food was amazing! The waiters were fantastic! As we live in par we will visit again! My parents were down from wales and thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you!

Loved the candlelit beautiful dining room . Amazing setting . Food was great. Only down side was the waitress spraying tables vigorously with pungent cleaning liquid as other diners left their tables. Spoilt the taste of our food , looked awful and cheapened the experience.

Very attentive and charming staff. The service was slow!! We weren't in a hurry so it was no problem but ..... We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Lovely setting and professional service, food was excellent and will return, however some negative points that would make whole experience better. Table booked for 1pm didn't get to our table until 1.30pm so ordered coffee in lounge. When called to table asked for coffee to come through, it did eventually after asking again with new cups so coffee in cups discarded - 2 full cups. The starter came out promptly, but the wait for main was far too long on the verge of just complaining. When food was delivered it was excellent. Dessert was served promptly and was delicious. I would recommend that if visiting allow at least 2 half hours for lunch we left just after 3pm, not what we expected as restaurant wasn't even busy.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here, we sat on the terrace with amazing views down over the Fowey river on to the sea. The food was amazing, and the kitchen were incredibly accommodating to dietary requirements (creating delicious meat egg and fish free sandwiches). The lovely waitresses and waiters serving us even bought out a birthday plate for my partners 25th birthday which was a very sweet touch. Great experience!

Came for a high tea, beautiful location and stunning views. The food was great as was the service Highly recommended
