Tucked away in the backstreets of Islington, The Island Queen is a uniquely stylish London pub, filled with striking etched glass, mirrors, exotic plants, and plush leather furnishings. There is a small seating area out the front, and popular roast dinners on Sundays.
The Island Queen menu boasts a superb range of gourmet pub recipes, both with British roots and from overseas. Classics include fish and chips made with Aspall Cyder batter, slow-cooked British short rib with bone marrow sauce, and pork, leek and Welsh rarebit sausages and mash. There is a selection of juicy burgers, oak-smoked USDA brisket sandwiches with pickled red chillies and fries, and a range of vegetarian options.
A selection of rotating cask ales are served at The Island Queen Islington, as well as world beers, cocktails, and wines. On the dessert menu, there is sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream, lemon and wild blueberry ricotta cheesecake, and a generous British cheeseboard.
Beautifully styled and with a great ambience any day of the week, The Island Queen London is moments from Regent's Canal, and 8 minutes' walk from Angel Tube Station.

Lovely pub, really low levels of lighting in the evening. Good beer, cider and wine selection. Friendly staff. Food was sub-par pub fare and took a while to come out. Would recommend for drinks but not food.

Terrible. Despite a confirmation of booking being sent to me the pub had no note of our booking when 7 of us turned up on Christmas Day. We had severation very anxious minutes while they went to the chef to see if they could accommodate us. They did, but we had a terrible scruffy and dirty old table right by the gents which smelt. Four of our food choices where not available. The pub was very short staffed and although the waitress was doing her best we had to wait almost two hours for our main course. Awful!!!!! What a shame on Christmas Day

Good Sunday roast. Staff (apart from one) were very friendly and helpful. Good beer in a great setting.
