Would say that was the worse meal I have ever eaten while on business in London - truly shocking! Cold, tasteless, and the meat in the pie! As I say truly shocking

Unfortunately my meal was not great . Quiche overcooked could not cut it. However the staff were brilliant and I was not charged for this meal and also a round of drinks. The pub itself We loved

Booked a table for 6. Glad we did, quite busy. Food good, service attentive, and we were not hassled even though we were there for about 3. 1/2 hours. Will visit again.

We really enjoyed our experience at The Coal Hole. Food was delicious, I enjoyed the fish and chips, my friends also enjoyed the meal. Staff were polite and helpful. I particularly like that there is only a few tables which seems to make it intimate. Back ground music is good. Over all a great experience. Thanks to all of you.

Least prepared pub I’ve ever been to! Food was fine... for what they had. Got there at 3:15 and we said we had a reservation at 4 but could we have a drink. They said yes but could we wait because they’ve got some other stuff to do first. Umm ok? After 10 minutes we eventually got served (the bar was dead) and got told our table was ready. I said ok, we’re just getting our drinks. Waiter said ‘can I show you to your table first?’. I just thought it was a bit rude to be honest! Then we sat down and read the menu for a good 20 minutes. Had to call someone over to take our order, we all wanted roasts and were told they didn’t have any roast dinners left, excellent! Tried to order a pie instead, none of the pie left. Finally found something we would like and ordered some more drinks. My prosecco was flat. They didn’t have any red wine for my friend. Camembert started was listed with ‘chunky bread and celery’... well, we got wilted lettuce and half toasted Kingsmill! We ended up just laughing because what else could we do? Service was slow, no apology just got ‘it’s been one of those days’. We had a starter and a main and that took a 2 and a half hours in the end. We felt like an inconvenice, had to keep grabbing the servers as they just kept ignoring us, ended up paying at the bar because we got bored of waiting (ther was probably about 2 or 3 other tables at this point!). That’s the last time I try to have a nice pub dinner in London! To not have any roasts, no red wine and no pie... not even the extras with the Camembert was just embarrassing and made us laugh so much. Awful service, food fine if you like having to guess what they have available, atmosphere dead

Good and service was great. Just what we needed afte a show.

Havde mailet Cole hole inden vores tur til London for at være sikker på at nytårs maden var i orden. Jeg fik svar fra dem om at det var intet problem - de havde åbent for deres vanlige spisekort. Men vi kunne vælge imellem pie eller burger for enten var menuerne lukket eller så havde de en bøf tilbage. Dessert havde vi ikke mulighed for at bestille for det skulle være gjort på forhånd. Personalet var venligt, men man havde følelsen af at man var i vejen.

Terribly understaffed. Bad service and terrible food.

Lovely venue but not great experience. Many menu items not available (including 2 of the 4 advertised roasts - at 12.15 on a Sunday ??) one dish arrived cold, kitchen sent waitress out with ice cream claiming it was cream (it wasn't!). Clearly understaffed and badly managed generally. Shame as used to be a great pub.
