Situated down a quiet side street, on the corner of elegant St Peter’s Square, The Carpenter’s Arms is an independent nineteenth century pub with a beautiful garden where the food is the star, only serving the freshest and seasonal ingredients. Despite its many changes of ownership over the last century and a half, The Carpenter’s Arms still keeps to the traditions of St. Benedict – that true hospitality be provided to travellers and strangers.

The Carpenter’s Arms seasonally focused modern British menu features dishes like grilled Creedy duck breast with Jerusalem artichokes, ravioli stuffed with buffalo ricotta or chargrilled marinated onglet steak with chips.

To finish, try a delicious baked Yorkshire rhubarb with meringue and crème fraiche or lemon pannacotta with caramelised pink navel orange at The Carpenter’s Arms.A variety of real ales, cocktails and world wines are served from the bar.

The proud holder of multiple local-scene awards, including best pub in Hammersmith, The Carpenter’s Arms Hammersmith is a short 5 minutes' stroll from Stamford Brook Tube Station.

First time i’d visited. LOVED it. The little garden is such a gem. The staff were lovely and the food very good indeed. Perfect for a birthday treat in the sunshine.

Love everything about the pub and the food but i would not advise taking the cheese option ( extra to the set menu ) as the it was very mean and one of the cheeses looked like it had been cut on a mandolin it was so thin

The Carpender's Arms is a charming neighbourhood restaurant/pub with a beautiful back garden. The food last Friday was top notch with the exception of a vegan panna cotta that tasted like soap. Wine is always at a very good price to quality ratio and the service impeccable.

Awful. Food quality and price was terrible. Portion size was tiny. My burrata did not melt in the middle - it was NOT a burrata it was a mozzarella ball! Hand cut chips were potato balls and I got 3 in my main. Dessert was dry. Being forced to pay £35 per person for this rubbish. No drinks are included in that price. What kind of establishment forces you to pay a 3 course set menu these days? So overpriced and so disappointing. I won't be back! What happened to a decent beef burger and chips for £14?!

Cozy in the winter, but particularly nice outside in the garden the day we dined. So pretty there. Good food and wine and impeccable service.

Friendly staff and felt very welcome when we arrived 30-40 mins before the table booking and were seated quickly. Atmosphere in the garden is inviting and felt safer given the fresh air. Hand sanitisers placed at entrance to pub. Blankets were provided when it became chillier, which was a welcome service. Starter: Burrata itself was good, but whole dish - while looking attractive on the plate - was under-seasoned (felt it was in desperate need of salt, a twist of black pepper and a big drizzle of extra virgin olive oil) and accompanying tomatoes not so great with the woody green parts not trimmed on larger tomatoes. Main: Sea bass slightly overcooked but fine. Again slightly under-seasoned. Polenta not very exciting and rather small in quantity for a main course. Dessert: Torta di Capri very nice and berry creme fraiche worked really well with it. (Because of the cooler weather, it would have been nice to have had a warm dessert option on the menu though.) Enjoyed the wine (Les Coteaux "CDR"). Despite my quibbles about the food, I enjoyed the venue and overall experience and would definitely return.

Fantastic food and idyllic setting. We sat in the garden and had the set menu, my favourite meal was the sardine starter - delicious!

It was lovely to eat out and get a discount too! The meal was lovely. As we are on a low carb regime we couldn’t have a dessert but the starters and main course were good. Huge portion of Burrata in my starter. Above all, the staff are lovely- friendly and helpful.
