Présentation du restaurant

Set in 38 acres of idyllic gardens and woodland, The Conservatory restaurant at the Bannatyne Hotel is a tranquil dining haven in Hastings. Overlooking the colourful flowerbeds and manicured lawns of the formal gardens, the restaurant incorporates local, seasonal produce in refined British cuisine.

The Conservatory menu excites with cured five-spice Margery duck breast served with pan-fried foie gras and a rhubarb and apple puree, which features alongside a roast loin of Ashdown forest venison with dauphinoise potato and braised red cabbage in a red wine jus. Chic, monochrome tables at The Conservatory are soaked in sunlight and decorated with potted plants for a wholesome, natural ambience.

Accompanying The Conservatory restaurant is a colourful terrace bar, which serves full afternoon tea with freshly-made sandwiches and homemade scones. Decorated with vivid colours and eye-catching modern art, it opens out onto al fresco dining.

It’s roughly a 10-minute drive down from the Bannatyne Hotel to Hastings Station, with Hastings Castle just a minute or so further. The Bannatyne Hotel is part of a chain from Dragon’s Den magnate, Duncan Bannatyne.

The meals have changed quite a bit , the menu seemed very limited , we also got complimentary rolls last time but all this has changed ,Food was ok but not special for the price being charged, Was a regular since we got married there but would think twice about going back again , Shame as it was special to us after getting married there. Good service, food disappointing. Prawn Cocktail not great rather limp, breakfast hash browns very crispy and scrambled egg very wet. Enjoyed the hotel so didn't like to complain at time.

Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience this time. The Ceaser Salad the I ordered with salmon was served without bacon or anchovies and after complaining it was taken back then reserved to me with two very fatty rashers of bacon just thrown on top and the same for the anchovies.

It was amazing the food was fantastic and you catered extremely well for my mother in law who is dairy intolerant. The service we received was so polite, caring and nothing was too much hassle for them, I cannot fault the staff at all they are a credit to your company.

Disappointing meal at Maxines. The food was average for the high price charged. The taste of our meals were not to a good standard. Feel they definitely need to improve.

No music on, no one else dining yet we were place under the air con and next to the door. No roast available yet we asked for this in advance when we booked a week before. If a Roast isn't something you do on a Sunday you should have said when I booked. We moved into the bar as it was busy & had atmosphere. It was our third night of eating out in the area & it was our least favourite yet it was the most expensive. Pleased that they had a vegan menu however it is over priced.
