Lovely lunch on a very wet day so even more appreciated being in a warm and welcoming setting. The staff were fun and not too formal and the food was impressive. We chose one of each of the tapas style dishes (7) and the dessert of the day rather than the tasting menu but were not at all disappointed. Each dish was light, very delicate and beautifully presented. We left feeling that we had eaten well without feeling full!

We both had the tasting menu and loved all of it. Emma, who attended to our every need was lovely-please give her our thanks.

If you like fish, this is the place to go. Food was very interesting, incredibly tasty, we had the tasting menus which was good value although still more expensive, but left feeling repleat! Good house wine. Fish and chip dish really succulent, liked moving to a very tasty curried monkfish. Baked Alaska good although a tad too sweet for my personal taste. The service by all the waiters was outstanding, very friendly, knowledgeable attentive, worked around one friend who didn’t like cured fish. Ambient cosy as there is not much room as tables close to each other. . Have been a number of time and it’s been consistent in all areas. They obviously pay attention to staggered bookings as you always felt there was the attention you needed and food came as cooked to each table in a timely fashion.

I had no expectations as to venue . I was pleasantly surprised, it was very warm and welcoming. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. We chose the tasting menu after being told of all the options, it was very good value . We went with the suggested wine for the meal , which was excellent. We enjoyed all the courses . Only observation, no serving spoons were provided , so to avoid ‘ double dipping ‘ we used our knives to dip in and our forks to eat , but it did get a bit messy . Overall it was actually preferable to the main restaurant.

One of the best food experiences we have ever had. Starters were exceptional. Mains were also exceptional except two pieces of sea bass would have been better as the one provided, when cut in half, was insufficient. Sweet was one of the nicest we have ever had. Restaurant decor was perfect, very relaxing and was sympathetic to the fishing village environment. The service was very good, by two very pleasant and highly professional people. It is without doubt amongst the best food experiences we’ve had. We will go again.
