Uninspiring food, lame service, poor ambience. Photos and reviews must be of a different restaurant or era.

The restaurant feels like an afterthought in this club. It is convenient for theatreland but would not win any points beyond that. The service was pleasant but slow. The food from the pre-theatre menu was adequate but uninspiring. The booking options included the choice of a plant-based pre-theatre menu. This turned out to be one dish which is really not adequate. We will not bother returning.

Cosy restaurant with a maximum capacity of about 18-20 people. Good range of dishes on the menu, with a set menu with less options, but is good value for money. Excellent presentation of food and flavours. Enjoyed the meal with friends, would recommend trying and will definitely be returning.

Gorgeous! The food was sublime and the service, solicitous. My party and I couldn't fault a dish. So pleased with our evening at the restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!

Great unique place hidden away from mania of Leicester Square-staff looked after us amazingly and made us feel very welcome-would recommend for someone looking for something different

My husband and I had come up to London for a special event at Speaker's House so were very much looking forward to our meal, as the reviews had been so good. Booked for 3 p.m. We were taken to a table in the bar area next to someone working on a laptop, which was the first disappointment. About 5 dishes were no longer available on the A La Carte (this was the only menu available at this time of day). Our main course (sea bass) was good but arrived on cold plates. No-one came back to ask if everything was satisfactory so we ate our meal quickly in order that it did not get cold. Time passed. A young woman cleared our plates - I mentioned the cold plates and asked if she would pass this on. No-one came back to us. We waited longer, as we had wanted to order desserts to lift our spirits. Eventually, we felt so abandoned that we asked for the bill - no member of staff, even at that point, enquired about our experience. It was such a disappointment, as the reviews had painted such an inviting picture. Not a pleasant end to an otherwise exciting day. The ratings below reflect our experience therefore I can't recommend this restaurant in any of the categories below.

I'm afraid the "dining experience" was a litany of disasters. The main meal I and my wife wanted was not available (at 1 o'clock!). We waited over an hour to get served because it seems our order was lost. When it arrived it was missing a side dish my wife had ordered. No one checked up how we were doing for all the time we were waiting - we had to go to the bar to find out what was going on. The person who served us seemed unsure of the state of the menu. There was also a drink that we wanted unavailable because they didn't have the ingredients (same drink/same lack of ingredient we came across 3-4 weeks ago). Our table was reserved, but upstairs in the mezzanine - no one explained why that was. This is not the first time we have had problems like this at the Lib-rary - in fact I am in the process of generating an email about our whole membership experience. There seems to be a problem with management generally at the place.

I asked my friends who I was dining with for their feelings on this meal. They ranged from “where’s the focaccia?” to “I honestly don't think you could accurately sum up how bad it was in a review”. To try: - We arrived at 8 for our 8pm res. We ate our starters at 9.20, we ate our mains at 10.45 - We asked for water, it finally arrived are reminding the staff three times - The water was served in a pyrex jug from the kitchen with the spout snapped off so it spilled everywhere. - After about 15 minutes the jug was taken off us to give to another table. - About an hour later on request we got the jug back. Hope it was washed. It probably wasn’t. - Upon arrival we requested bread. After a reminder we received 5 half slices of bread for 7 people with a dribble of olive oil. - There were not enough plates for all 7 of us to have matching plates. V student house vibes. - 45 minutes after ordering starters we were told most of the starters were not available. - The starters that did arrive were incomplete (hence the focaccia comment) - Out of the three beers on the menu only one was available. People from the bar upstairs kept walking past with different beer. - They ran out of the wine we were drinking. The replacement wine was not very good, but at that point we also had no food. - Most of the mains were missing advertised constituents. Lamb missing carrots. - It took about half an hour for them to give us the bill. Were they waiting for us to just walk out? Still up for negotiation. - They took off the service charge at our request, but no apology, nor discount for the above. Overall this was potentially the most hysterical dinner I’ve ever been to. Partially because of how abysmal it was and the lack of food coupled with copious volumes of wine. P.S the Scottish waitress we had was lovely and trying really hard but something is seriously wrong with this place.
