Our 2 sixth form grandsons love the Cat and Fiddle It has been a tradition for 10 years or more that the last day of any holiday we take them to the Cat and Fiddle They have no wish to go anywhere else They love it As do the whole family

Very busy restaurant, we were a party of 7. We found the staff all very polite and professional on arrival. Taken to our table, drinks orders explained.the table was quite close to the doors so everytime someone came in it was quite cold. We had to wait quite a while for our food but it was very busy. Once the food arrived it was very nice, however i think the plates could of been wamed up first. Half way through the meal the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate to the carpark, although only a short time our food was cold on return. I also found they had to many menus with different deals which got confusing. I spent a lot of money on an evening spoilt by the cold draft, a fire alarm, and cold food due to thd above. No compensation for this, but I would still go back.

Service was good, Knickbocker Glory was great. We got £3.95 off the bottle of sparkling Zindenfal but weren't told it was on special offer so was a nice surprise

Poor - service was slow. Waitress was rude and spoke with an aggressive tone. Food was its upside, as was for the most part enjoyable. Though not worth the wait.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived and were served with drinks quite quickly. We had a slight problem when ordering a Combo meal. My son wanted to swap the sweet corn for onion rings but was told this was not possible. The menu seemed to indicate that a swap was possible so we were rather surprised to be told this. The waitress came back to our table shortly afterwards to say that they would provide complimentary onion rings for him! The meals generally were very good, although the gammon was rather tough. The salad table was very good with plenty of choice. Our twin grandsons enjoyed the children's activity packs which were ready for them when we arrived.
