Great as always

Cauliflower cheese was beautiful as usual.

Was a nice carvery. Only thing was very slow only one carving meats .

Me and my wife and family and friends are regular customers at the Toby Newbury, excellent roast is always our favourite, my wife Pauline has the veggie option with lots of vegetables, staff are friendly and helpful, the booking service was easy and very quick.

Food was very good, and service.

We booked online for a 1330hrs sitting. We waited over 45mins to sit down. Then we waited in line for another 45mins to get our meal. I'm disabled and had to stand all that time. There was only one chef serving. There was over 30 people waiting to be served. The chef was really miserable and blunt. I used to come often but the service has gone down a lot. Very disappointed. Chef was also cutting fatty and gristle on to people's plates and then just grunted when they complained. Where we had to line up, there was a man in a wheelchair that could not get in the que because the lanes where too narrow. Some tables were not suitable for wheelchairs. Young lad on front desk was still booking people in knowing there was no tables left. People tried to eat there dinner, but had a massive que stood looking over them. Very disappointed .

This is a good place to eat a Sunday Roast. It is a very popular place so it's definitely best to book the table in advance. Arriving early meant we were able to have a couple of drinks at the bar before our table was ready. There are a lot of tables to serve but there are a good number of servers which means the whole process goes very quickly. The Sunday roast gives a good choice of starters and snacks. The main course has all the traditional roast dinners with very generous portions. Couldn't fault it really.

We liked the cubicle - quiet enough to chat comfortably. The choice of vegan mains was great and the quality and quantity of the food was impressive.

Loved it all. Would like chicken gravy.
