Booking:great, food and drink:great, service: not so great as had to ask for orders to be taken and again had to ask for kid’s ice cream to be served.

It was a great experience for my colleagues and I. We had two nice tables and we were able to interact and socialiase. Food was also perfectly spaced out as well we all left very happy!

We decised to try Shoryu as an alternative to Wagamama and to be honest with you it was very disappointing. Upon arrival we were promptly seated at the table we had reserved and it was about 10 minutes before we were offered a drink. Taking into consideration the restaurant was at about 25% capacity we had to wait another 10 - 15 minutes before we got them. Ordering food was an interesting experience as well, there were 3 items that we chose that they had run out of! Rather than informing us before we set about deciding what to eat they obviously though it would be a good idea to wait until afterwards, not impressed. There were a couple of other issues as well. Firstly, when I ordered my main I asked for hard noodles, now I eat out a lot and I know the difference between the various grade of noodles that are offered at restaurants like this. My noodles arrived soft so I politely asked the lady that served us to come over and explained to her that I ordered hard noodles and in my opinion they weren’t right. She walked over to the chef (we were seated by the kitchen area) and he literally shrugged his shoulders, and that was it. For the rest of the evening she didn’t come back to the table and respond about my query, even though she came back with more drinks later on. Secondly, when I’m in a restaurant I don’t expect to have to leave the table and go and ask for plates that weren’t brought out with our food or have to ask for napkins when consuming food meant to be eaten with fingers. It’s the little things that count, the food was ok but the service and attentiveness from the staff was absolutely terrible.
