Awarded 3 AA Rosettes, The Somerset Dining Room at The Mount combines classic favourites and imaginative new dishes using honest ingredients from the abundance of rich produce available in the South West. An elegant space for refined dining, views over the terrace and gardens serve as a backdrop to the likes of Exmorr lamb and beef, their own smoked salmon, Brixham lobster and crab, and a well stocked wine cellar.

We thought the place was amazing! Service was great and up to par. Waiters and staff were friendly and welcoming! Food was DELICIOUS and the atmosphere was nice with music in the background!

Excellent service, excellent food. We had lunch and dinner both were very good, dinner was superb.

It was our first time to this restaurant and hotel.It was a very pleasant setting with a friendly atmosphere. The menu was varied and we enjoyed our meal.

The ambiance of the dining room was welcoming but initially very warm and the heavy drapes under the table cloth was annoying, but not so as to detract from a fine meal. Canapes were varied and well presented, but worthy of mention were the rabbit fillets in a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs. The first course of scallops the sufficiently large and plentiful, with a perfectly oerfectly browned finish. The main course of braised beef, pressed into a round, with braised veg was full of flavour Waiting service was excellent and managed by the young, presentable and knowledgeable George. Would we go again? Yes, without any hesitation.
