Descripción

Passionate about British produce, the menus at Sand’s End focus on provenance and creativity. Emphasising the ‘field to fork’ concept, they feature the best local and wild seasonal ingredients that have been responsibly sourced. The twice daily changing menu features a range of signature dishes, pub classics and traditional Sunday roasts.

The Sand’s End menu leads with starters like pan roasted quail with Parma ham and orange or seared scallops with minted pea puree and balsamic reduction. This is followed by mains like black bream fillet with crushed new potato and carrot ribbons or crispy duck leg with pea and bacon.

Finish with tempting desserts like pear and pistachio tart or chocolate and salted caramel brownie. At The Sand’s End bar enjoy an extensive range of fine wines, a selection of Cask Marque accredited real ales and an array of elegant classics and seasonally-themed cocktails.

In the heart of London, The Sand’s End is an 8-minute walk from the Imperial Wharf Rail Station.

We love the sands end, it’s our local so we are there regularly. The atmosphere is always great, and the food is consistently delicious. We booked a table for Sunday lunch and I have to admit that the last couple of times the service for food has been slow, and forgetful. I appreciate there has been a changeover in waiting and bar staff, and having worked in gastropubs before I am respectful that this can sometimes take a while to smooth out. However, it was difficult on Sunday to catch attention from multiple members of staff, and it felt as though the aim of the game was to just get everyone seated, and clear finished tables with not much attention in between. We ended up ordering drinks directly from the bar in the end after our food arrived before we were able to even order wine. When I booked I booked for four people, when I asked if we could add an extra chair to make it five it was met with stress, rather than any effort to accommodate. I know it was a busy weekend because of the rugby, however I feel a ‘can do’ attitude was lacking. This said, we will not be deterred in coming as we love the neighbourhood vibe of this pub and the regular faces locals. The fact that it’s dog friendly, comfy on both hot and cold days, and always lively gives it its charm. One last thing - the dining chairs are very slippy and too low! We were all sliding off! Thanks

Great pub. Lovely atmosphere and good crowd. Good selection of drinks. Booked the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Definitely try the scotch egg! Espresso martini was fab too!

The welcome was very warm and the service very good. Fish and Chips and the Burgers were great and lovely desserts. The occasion was to celebrate an 80th Birthday, with their family, having been visitors to the pubs in the 70s/80s. Was a very relaxed afternoon of chat, memories and good food. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Busy when we arrived which is a good. Ordered the sharing lamb fo two. This was delicious.Best lamb I have had in a while. The other people dining with us had the beef. The beef was just ok. All veg and roast potatoes also where good. We order the chessboard. I must say this was disappointing cheese was cold and when asked what the cheese as we where told 1 blue 1soft 1hard. We did ask for them to find out what the cheese was which they do . When we went to pay they had taken £10 off the final bill which was really good.

We were both really disappointed with our meal. They had run out of some dishes we ordered and they didn’t apologise. The food then arrived and it wasn’t great. We both have not been there for a while and remembered it being much better food previously. Won’t be hurrying back.

Good meal and good atmosphere. We used to go to the Sands End regularly but stopped about a year ago as the food stopped being as good. Tried it again this week and the food is back on form again! Will be back again & hopefully it can become our regular haunt again!
