Présentation du restaurant
The Restaurant & Tea Room at the Feathers Hotel in Ludlow is housed in one of the most iconic, 17th Century buildings in the UK that is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year. Following an extensive a refurbishment, the tea room has already become a haven for local tea room lovers and visitors to the historical market town. The contemporary, but quintessentially British tea room is open daily serving breakfast, lunch and, of course, afternoon tea, and is perfectly situated right on the high street with all local attractions just a short walk away.
The Tea Room at the Feathers Hotel menu perfectly matches the splendour of the venue with all bread, meats and other ingredients sourced from superb local suppliers. Alongside the tea room’s own blend of coffee there is a choice of 11 fine loose leaf teas, including The Feathers very own blend of breakfast tea. Guests can also indulge in carefully-cut finger sandwiches, bagels, salads, delicate cakes, home-made pastries and fresh, warm scones with delicious preserves all baked freshly every day and served on stunning stands that make for the perfect centre pieces to the table.
The new tea room still retains the charm and character of the listed building, combined with a touch of modern lighting, interiors and style. Most notably is the eclectic mix of lighting, banquette seating, traditional fireplace and feature wall mural which pays homage to its hometown of Ludlow. Guests can unwind in the ambience inside with gentle music playing, or enjoy the stunning terrace to the rear of the hotel on sunnier days.

Very disappointed. Despite the fact that they had acknowledged it was our 28th wedding anniversary, no effort at all was made to make this any sort of special occasion! 90% of the tables were laid out for customers (for Afternoon Tea), but as we were only having lunch the table we were made to sit at was completely bare, apart from 2 small paper menus- where the choice was very limited. Having decided to leave, we were asked had we enjoyed our lunch!! When it was explained why we were leaving, they unashamedly tried to hide behind “COVID restrictions”. We will not be going there again!

Afternoon tea was excellent quality of food & service I felt the tableware was not appropriate for the meal or the surroundings China tea ware with a tea plate for savouries and one for sweet would be better not great using same plate coronation chicken with scone etc. Not a great look or taste! Good if tea came with jug of hot water for the tea pot The restaurant could have been better dressed felt unloved! With much potential

We enjoyed our afternoon tea at The Feathers, however as frequent 'Afternoon Tea' partakers at a wide variety of venues, we felt that our tea at The Feathers was not great value for money. The sandwich selection was uninspiring, the scones were OK but we were not offered a choice of fruit or plain. The cakes too were very ordinary. With a little imagination the afternoon tea at The Feathers could live up to its claims and even be value for money.
