Le Comptoir Robuchon has re-opened since 1st October. This stylish Mayfair restaurant while paying homage to the late Chef Joël Robuchon also introduces modern, innovative and seasonal recipes. Enjoy a theatrical 2-part French dining concept inspired by L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon: The Le Comptoir Robuchon restaurant and nearby delicatessen. Set in an effortlessly elegant space with burnt orange interiors, peer into the mirrors above the striking marbled counter for a glimpse into the open kitchen.
The Le Comptoir Robuchon menu, led by new Head Chef, Dario Avenca, showcases Monsieur Robuchon's world-class inventive French cuisine combined with his love for the flavours and techniques found in Japanese cooking. The accessible menu remains focused on simple yet sophisticated dishes made with locally sourced produce, alongside seasonal specials. Dine on impressively plated delicacies like Jerusalem artichoke pannacotta with smoked salmon and wasabi or Cod with baby artichoke and fresh herb salad. Timeless French classics include King crab with baby gem, mozzarella and avocado.
Round off a delightful meal with a tempting dessert like Solliès figs cheesecake with walnuts. Was a truly excellent meal enjoyed by all three of us. Both the food and services was excellent and would definitely go back as well recommend to friends and colleagues.

Myself and my party of 10 enjoyed the evening. The food, service and ambiance was very good, 2 things that was not quite so good: The tiniest fish portion I’ve ever seen; They did not provided the desert suflee, which was on the menu.

We took advantage of the Bookatable dinner offer - 3 courses for £45 plus a cocktail and coffee - and it was great value and absolutely delicious. We were also given a generous bread basket and petits fours. I particularly enjoyed the halibut and chocolate and whisky souffle. The cocktail was unusual and tasty and the service was very friendly and efficient. It was quite empty on the evening we visited, making it slightly lacking in atmosphere, but this wasn't a problem and we enjoyed a long leisurely meal.. The cost of the wine was the only downside: we had a very average bottle of Bergerac, which at £47 was overpriced yet one of the cheapest bottles on the list.

Great venue and amazing food - quality, presentation and taste were all great. However, the menu is structured as sharing starters and sharing mains - but the portions are all incredibly small and not suitable for sharing (e.g. one scallop to share between three people as a "sharing" starter!). The design of the menu needs to be revisited as you will leave this place very, very hungry.
